How to prepare for a job interview

 
 

There's no big secret to getting a job at MyAdvisor. Do your research, come prepared, and be yourself. Our recruiters share their tips to help you do just that.

  1. Do your research: Visit our care coordination portion of the website for background on our work and our company.

  2. Dress for success: Prioritize comfort and confidence. Take into account the office environment dress code of business casual.

  3. Ask questions: We want this to be the perfect fit for you, if you need more information or clarity on any part of the job, please ask! We do require a basic knowledge of technology, and we are prepared to give you support and training to learn.

  4. Feel Prepared: Our team will have your application and resume on hand, but if you would like to bring another copy, please do.

Below are questions that you might really be asked during this interview. Practice at home to feel ready on the day of. There are no right or wrong ways to answer interview questions. What the interviewer is looking for is your personality and your ability to work through a problem. Telling a short story or giving an example is always a good way to answer.

  • How would you describe good customer service?

  • How comfortable are you with technology? Do you have experience working with multiple screens in multiple systems simultaneously? Microsoft Office Applications? Excel, Word, email.

  • How do you build good relationships with team members in a remote environment?  

  • Our work can be fast-paced (back-to-back calls) and our customer has high expectations for our performance. What are skills you possess that would allow you to manage your own workload in an efficient manner to deliver results?
